Do I need Developer Mode and a paid plan?

Yes. ChatGPT exposes custom MCP connectors under Developer Mode, available on paid plans (Plus and up), not the free tier. Turn it on in Settings, under Connectors, then Advanced, then add Actionbook.

How is Actionbook different from ChatGPT agent mode or Atlas?

ChatGPT’s agent and the Atlas browser run in their own browser, can’t touch your saved passwords or downloads, and apply a site blocklist. Actionbook runs in your real Chrome with your existing logins and no blocklist, so ChatGPT can act on sites its own agent won’t.

Can ChatGPT act on any website with Actionbook?

Yes. Actionbook is not subject to ChatGPT agent’s site blocklist, so it can open and act on finance, trading, and other restricted sites, in your own logged-in session.

Is it safe to let ChatGPT use my logged-in browser?

Actionbook drives your existing Chrome session, so ChatGPT never sees your passwords, and you stay in control. For anything that submits, downloads, or changes a logged-in site, tell ChatGPT to confirm with you first.
